i have never heard of cindy sherman the artist until just the other day, from having watched a documentary on the sundance channel  entitled “guest of cindy sherman.”

here is another cindy-like picture, even though it was taken a few years before i even heard of her:

cindy sherman has got nothing on me!

looks, talent, big buck$

oh! well!

perhaps some software exists to add enough pixels to my photos, without screwing them up, to make them big enough to hang on rich people’s walls?

um hi

Cindy Williams was born (August 22, 1947) in Van Nuys, California. She graduated from Birmingham High School. Among her classmates was fellow actress Sally Field [another valley girl!]. Cindy also attended Los Angeles City College and went on to become a movie actress in the early 1970s. She has appeared in 19 movies.

Williams picked up important film roles early in her career: George Cukor’s Travels with My Aunt (1972); as Ron Howard’s high school sweetheart in George Lucas’s American Graffiti (1973); and Francis Ford Coppola’s The Conversation (1974). She auditioned for Lucas’s next project, Star Wars, but lost the role of Princess Leia to Carrie Fisher.

She became best known for her portrayal, from 1976 until 1982, of loyal and fun-loving brewery worker “Shirley Feeney” in the sitcom Laverne & Shirley. She left the show after she became pregnant with her first child.

She has performed onstage in the national tours of Grease etc.  She and her family reside in Los Angeles.

 brie as cindy:

Erin Marie Moran (Moran was born and raised in North Hollywood, California [Another valley girl – like me !]

born October 18, 1960) is an American actress.

she confessed to having been molested by a family member: when she broke down crying, Howard [Stern] resisted pursuing the details.  She attended  North Hollywood High School.

In 1974, Moran was cast to play her most famous role, Joanie Cunningham on the sitcom Happy Days. She played the feisty younger sister of Richie Cunningham played by Ron Howard. She continued the role in 1982 in the short-lived series Joanie Loves Chachi starring Moran and Scott Baio. After the show’s cancellation in 1983, she returned to Happy Days for its final season.

incongruously, the cute boy was seen hitting a punching bag while disguised as a pretty girl wearing frilly clothes, including sissy socks with pink ballerina flats, while being gawked at by people in the sporting goods store — it was lovely
